MuNa = Music Navigator

The new international music conference and showcase festival MuNa – Music Navigator, focusing on the Central European region, networking and education, will take place on 16-18 September 2022 in Vzlet, Prague. You can look forward to panel discussions, lectures, workshops, speed-meetings and concerts in the newly opened multifunctional space. Whether your domain is classical music, jazz, pop, rock or metal, you are welcome.

There is more music being released than ever before and there are more music marketing “services”, tools and techniques as well. Can a DIY artist with no team and no budget compete and be heard? This participatory 90 minute workshop will discuss the opportunities and obstacles to getting your latest release heard, with examples and a suggested timeline for promotional activity. We will discuss the music industry landscape for DIY artists, media coverage, social media, streaming, web3 and community building highlighting the myths, the scams and what works.
This is a workshop and not a lecture, meaning participants will be asked to join the conversation and discuss their situation in promoting their releases. EN*

Ticketing, cashless, event apps – digital solutions for events are booming and becoming increasingly accessible to promoters of all sizes. Josef Tajovský (BOOM, Burza #4) and Matěj Huleš (BOOM, Musical Theatre Karlín) together with Music navigator participants will explore new trends in digital tools for organizers and try to outline the opportunities that data collection digital tools can provide for organizers.
